Scoreboard: A whiteboard, poster board, chalkboard, or even a sheet of paper works perfectly for keeping score.

How to Play Thanksgiving Family Feud

  • The host reads a Thanksgiving Family Feud question out loud.
  • One player from each team comes up for a face-off and tries to guess a top answer.
  • Use a timer or stopwatch to give players 30 seconds or a minute to answer.
  • The player who guesses the higher-ranking answer wins the face-off and gives their team control of the round.
  • That team then tries to guess the remaining answers on the board without getting three strikes. Each incorrect guess counts as one strike.
  • After three strikes, the opposing team gets one chance to steal the round’s points by correctly naming any remaining answer on the board.
  • Add up the points for the round using the values listed beside each answer.
  • The team with the highest total score at the end of all rounds wins the game!

Please note: These aren’t hard-and-fast rules. Feel free to adjust them or make up your own rules to suit your group and keep the Thanksgiving fun going!

The Game Setup

  • Divide players into two competing teams (or more if you’re hosting a large Thanksgiving gathering or Friendsgiving party).
  • Choose a host to read the questions, give strikes for incorrect answers, and keep track of the points.
  • Have each team select a captain to make the final call if there are any disagreements over answers.
  • Keep the scores updated on a score sheet (included in the full game available in my shop!).

How Many Rounds Are Played

Usually, there are several rounds, but in my full version, there are a total of 96 questions, which can easily help you play at least 15 or 16 full rounds of the game!

Plus, it includes a 3 Fast Money Rounds with 18 additional questions.

How To Play the Final Fast Money Round

Fast Money Round is played by the team that has the highest score at the end of the regular rounds. Two players must work together to achieve a total of 200 points across 5 rapid-fire questions.

  • The winning team chooses 2 players for the fast money round.
  • Player 1 stays with the host. and Player 2 steps away so they cannot hear the answers.
  • The host asks Player No 1.  final questions.
  • Player 1 has to answer fast within a time limit
  • Bring Player 2 back. Ask them the same questions. If they repeat any of Player 1’s answers, they must give a different one.
  • The host reveals the points for each answer. Add both players’ scores together. If their total reaches the target score of 200, the whole team wins!

Below is a final Fast money round question for this digital version.
