Game Supplies for 4th of July Friendly Feud

Setting up your “Feud” stage is quick and easy, requiring only a few items:

  • Players: For a classic feud game, the sweet spot is usually 3 to 5 players per team.
  • A Buzzer: You can use a classic bell, a squeaky toy for the players “buzz in” during the face-off.
  • Scoreboard: A large whiteboard, a poster board, or a simple notepad to keep track of the points.
  • Pens or Pencils: For the host to tally up the Fast Money points at the very end.

How to Play 4th of July Friendly Feud Game

  • The host reads a question out loud.
  • One player from each team approaches the host to face off against each other and tries to name a top answer.
  • Use a timer or stopwatch to ensure players answer within a time limit of 30 seconds or a minute.
  • Whoever guesses the higher-ranking answer gets control of the round for their team.
  • That team then tries to guess the remaining answers on the board without getting 3 strikes. (Each wrong guess = 1 strike).
  • After 3 strikes, the opposing team gets one collective chance to steal the round’s points by correctly naming any remaining answer on the board.
  • Add up the points for that round using the values listed beside each answer.
  • The team with the highest total score at the end of all rounds wins the game!

**Please note these are not hard and fast rules, you can always adjust or make your own rules as per your group setting.

The Game Setup

  • Divide players into two competing teams (or more if you are hosting a massive neighborhood block party).
  • Choose a host to read the questions, give strikes for wrong answers, and track points.
  • Each team should select a captain, to make a final call in case of conflicted answers.
  • Keep scores updated on the score sheet (which is included in my full shop version of the game!).

How Many Rounds Are Played

Usually, there are several rounds, but in my full version, there are a total of 60 questions, which can easily help you play at least 10 full rounds of the game!

Plus, it includes a final Fast Money Round with 5 additional questions. Here are some more details of what you’ll get inside my full game bundle:

  • Size Available: Standard US Letter size (8.5″ x 11″)
  • Optimized Layout: 6 game cards per page.
  • Score Sheet & Instructions: A scoreboard sheet and an instruction page.
  • Customizable Blank Cards: A blank sheet containing 6 empty cards, just in case you want to write and add some of your own custom family questions.
  • Interactive Accessories: Printable answer covers and Strike cards.
  • Fast Money Finale: A dedicated instruction sheet for the Fast Money Round, along with a sheet featuring the 5 final rapid-fire questions.

How To Play The Final Fast Money Round

Fast Money Round is played by the team that has the highest score at the end of the regular rounds. Two players must work together to achieve a total of 200 points across 5 rapid-fire questions.

  • The winning team chooses 2 players for the fast money round.
  • Player 1 stays with the host. and Player 2 steps away so they cannot hear the answers.
  • The host asks Player No 1.  final questions.
  • Player 1 has to answer fast within a time limit
  • Bring Player 2 back. Ask them the same questions. If they repeat any of Player 1’s answers, they must give a different one.
  • The host reveals the points for each answer. Add both players’ scores together. If their total reaches the target score of 200, the whole team wins!
